Who we are

This website is run by Smart Bricks AI Limited, a company registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), United Arab Emirates. Questions about this page go to privacy@smart-bricks.com. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights and how to complain.

The short version

When you first arrive, this website asks what you are willing to let us store on your device. Until you answer, nothing that needs your consent runs: no analytics cookie, no advertising tag, no session recording. Two tools run without asking, a cookieless page-view counter and a bot check on our forms, and both are described below.

You can say no to everything and the site works exactly the same. You can change your answer at any time, and this page tells you how.

We test that order of events, not just promise it here: an automated test loads the site with every tag switched on and fails if a single cookie or stored value appears before consent is given.

What runs without asking

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. For each view it records the page address (with any tracking parameters removed), the referring site, your approximate location (country, region and city, worked out from your IP address, which is not kept), your browser, operating system and device type. It also counts each demo request that is sent, with the client type and interest chosen from the form’s fixed lists and nothing else from the form: no name, email or company. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. Repeat views on the same day are grouped by a code Vercel computes on its servers from the request and discards after 24 hours, so it cannot follow you between days or between websites. We use it only to see how the website is used so we can improve it.

If you do not want to be counted, you can object at any time: block scripts from this site in your browser or with a content blocker, or write to privacy@smart-bricks.com.

We also protect our forms with Vercel BotID. Its code is set up on every page, and when you send a form it runs an invisible check in your browser and sends technical signals about your browser to Vercel, so we can keep out automated spam and abuse. It shows nothing and asks nothing of you. The check is needed to accept a form safely, so it is not part of the consent question.

The categories you are asked about

NecessaryRemembering the consent choice you just madeCannot be switched off; it is the record of your answer
StatisticsWhich pages and flows people use, so we know what to improve, and which campaign link brought a contact form requestWe see anonymous page-view counts only

There is no “preferences” category to ask you about. The only choice this website remembers for you is closing the news bar at the top of the page, set out under “What this website keeps for itself” below, and that needs no consent.

Every tool that can run, and what it stores

Vercel BotIDThe bot check on our forms: set up on every page, it runs an invisible check in your browser when you send a formAlways onNot yet measured: the check runs only on the live site
PostHogProduct analytics: gives your browser a random ID so we can see which pages you visit and what you click, across visits, for up to a year. Data is stored by PostHog in the United States.statisticsph_phc_…_posthog (a cookie and the same name in local storage, one year: a random ID for your browser); ph_phc_…_session_registered_properties and ph_phc_…_primary_window_exists (session storage, deleted when you close the tab); __ph_opt_in_out_phc_… (local storage, set only if you later say no, so PostHog stays off)
Google Analytics 4 (Google)Traffic reporting: gives your browser a random ID so we can count visits, see which pages people read and how they found us, across visits, for up to two years. Advertising features are off. Data is processed by Google in the United States.statistics_ga (a cookie, two years: a random ID for your browser); _ga_VCV199H7Q0 (a cookie, two years: the state of your current visit). If you later say no, Google Analytics stops sending anything and the _ga_ cookie is deleted; _ga can be shared with other Google Analytics on smart-bricks.com, so it stays until it expires or you clear this site’s cookies

Fonts are served from this site’s own domain, not from a third-party font host, so loading a page contacts no font company.

What this website keeps for itself

Up to three small notes are kept in your browser by this website itself, not by any of the tools above. None of them is a cookie. The first two are never sent to us or to anyone else and cannot tell who you are; each only does something you asked for, so both count as strictly necessary and are not in the consent panel. The third, sb-campaign, is kept only if you allow statistics in the cookie banner, and it is sent to us only with the contact form, if you send it.

sb-news-dismissedYour browser’s local storageOnly if you close the news bar at the top of the page: which news item you closed, so it stays closed on every page. A new news item shows again.Until you clear this site’s data in your browser
sb-news-y: followed by a page addressYour browser’s session storageHow far down that page you were when you left it, so that going back to it or reloading it does not flash the news bar over the pageDeleted when you close the tab
sb-campaignYour browser’s session storageOnly if you allow statistics and arrived from a link with campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, or a Google Ads click ID: gclid, gbraid or wbraid): those tags. If you send the contact form, they are sent with it and kept with your request, so we know which campaign brought it (see the Privacy Policy)Deleted from your browser when you close the tab, or when you say no to statistics

How long these last

Your consent record is kept on your device for twelve months, after which you will be asked again. Cookiebot also keeps a log of your answer on its servers (a random consent ID, the date and time, and a shortened IP address) so we can show what you chose.

The PostHog cookie and its copy in your browser’s local storage last up to one year. PostHog’s session-storage entries are deleted when you close the tab.

The two Google Analytics cookies, _ga and the one named _ga_ followed by our property ID, last up to two years. They are statistics cookies: they are set only if you allow statistics. If you later say no, the _ga_ cookie is deleted; _ga can be shared with other Google Analytics on smart-bricks.com, so it stays until it expires or you clear this site’s cookies, and nothing is sent to Google Analytics from this site.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to open the consent panel again, change your answer and save it. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: analytics stops at once, and our Google Analytics cookie (_ga_) is deleted. The ID PostHog left in your browser stays until it expires or you clear this site’s cookies.

You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser settings, which removes both the tools and the record of your answer, so you will be asked again on your next visit.

The platform is different

The Smart Bricks platform at app.smart-bricks.com is a signed-in product. It needs cookies to keep you logged in, and it has its own cookie and privacy notice, which apply when you sign in. Nothing on this page describes it.

If this changes

If we add a tool that stores something new, it goes into the consent panel and into the table above on the day it ships, and it stays blocked until you allow its category.
