Smart Bricks is part of NVIDIA Inception, NVIDIA's programme for startups building in AI. The company named the programme in the announcement of its $5M pre-seed round led by a16z speedrun: "Smart Bricks is also an alumnus of Google AI First, Microsoft GrowthX, and NVIDIA Inception programmes."

What NVIDIA Inception is

NVIDIA describes Inception as "a free program that guides AI startups through the NVIDIA platform and ecosystem." Its promise to members is broad: "From prototype to production, Inception meets you where you are, with member benefits to help you discover new AI opportunities, build with world-class technologies, and grow your business."

In NVIDIA's words, members "have access to the latest developer tools and training, preferred pricing on NVIDIA hardware and software, exclusive offers from partners, and exposure to a global ecosystem of investors." The training runs through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, with free self-paced technical courses and discounted expert-led workshops. The programme also offers official badges and co-branded content, and, for eligible members, introductions to investors in NVIDIA's venture network.

There is no cost and no catch. NVIDIA says the programme "doesn't have application fees, membership fees, or equity requirements", and that it runs without deadlines or cohorts. It is large: NVIDIA counts 38,000 startups in Inception worldwide.

Why NVIDIA

Smart Bricks is an applied AI lab. Its work is building models, agents and the systems around them, and every one of those choices, from the tools a team trains on to the hardware a model runs on, shapes what the product can do. Inception is NVIDIA's route for startups into its platform and ecosystem, and it is built to help with exactly those choices: NVIDIA says the programme "can also help you understand which NVIDIA solutions are best for your workload."

It is also designed to stay useful as a company grows. NVIDIA describes benefits that let members "unlock go-to-market and other business opportunities as your engagement with NVIDIA grows", and a route to "curated networking events that bring together startups, top VCs, and NVIDIA executives."

What it means for Smart Bricks and its customers

For an AI lab, Inception is infrastructure of a different kind: access to the latest SDKs, model libraries and developer platforms, technical training for the team, preferred pricing on select NVIDIA hardware and software, and a route to NVIDIA's investor network. Those are the benefits NVIDIA offers its members, and they speak to the parts of the work that are hardest for a young company to build alone.

For the investment firms, lenders, developers and advisors who use Smart Bricks, what matters is what that work produces. The platform ingests over one million proprietary and public data feeds and applies agentic AI to analyse supply, pricing, liquidity, regulation and risk across global markets. It is designed, in the words of the company's funding announcement, to let capital "identify, evaluate, and execute real-estate investments end-to-end". Real estate judgement goes to Smart Bricks' own models, fine-tuned for real estate, while frontier models handle language.

How it fits the applied AI lab thesis

Smart Bricks is an applied AI lab building the intelligence layer for global real estate. The funding announcement gave the reason the category needs one: "Real estate remains the last trillion-dollar asset class without an AI-native stack."

The argument is developed in The AI-Native Investment Firm, the first paper in the Smart Bricks Research Series. The paper describes a third operating shift in institutional real estate, after spreadsheets and systems of record, and explains why so many AI pilots never reach production: "Even the most capable model will fail in production if its figures are not traceable, its calculations are not repeatable and its work is not independently reviewed." Its answer is a set of controls. Separate document reading from calculation. Keep the system that builds an analysis apart from the system that reviews it. Preserve the integrity of the model. Keep judgement with people.

That is why, in the words of its funding announcement, "Rather than acting as a marketplace or broker network, Smart Bricks serves as the AI infrastructure layer for modern real-estate investing." A private Company Brain holds what a firm knows, and each figure in a memo links back to the cell, page or email it came from. Specialist agents combine the firm's knowledge with Real Estate and Market Intelligence into institutional-grade decisions. Inception keeps that work close to NVIDIA's developer tools, training and ecosystem.

What comes next

Inception is built for the whole path from prototype to production, and Smart Bricks is on that path. In Mohamed's words, the company "started by helping people make better real estate investment decisions" and is "now building toward something much bigger: the AI infrastructure and intelligence layer for the global real estate industry." As Mohamed Mohamed, founder and CEO of Smart Bricks, put it when the company announced its round: "Capital and talent have already gone global; the tooling for real-estate investing has not. Smart Bricks is building the intelligence layer that finally allows real estate to operate at the speed, transparency, and scale modern markets demand."
